DNV is a risk management company. It is worldwide the no. 4 in ship rating and has rated about 1/6 of total merchant fleet of the world. Other branches are risk management and certifications for oil companies, car companies, food and package, information and telecommunications. Description of flag:
The flag shows the company logo. It is a horizontal bicolour blue over green (ratio 2:1), both divided by a white fimbriation. In the centre of the blue field are a white upright anchor and white scales. In the centre of the blue field is a white inscription "DNV".
