Blazon: På grøn grunn ein opprett sølv bjørkekvist med sju blad og fire raklar. In English: Vert a birch branch with six leaves and four catkins.
Approved by the royal resolution of 11 July 1986 after a drawing by John Digernes. [c2j87]
The design is canting for "bjørke" - birch, the place name meaning "birch's home", as explained at themunicipal web site.
