Blazon: I blått en stående sølv rev. In English: Azure a fox stantant argent.
Approved by the royal resolution of 4 April 1986 after a drawing by Svein A. Berntsen. [c2j87]
Fur industry had long tradition in Dyrøy and in 1930's a special sort of white fox was bread there called the platinum fox.
