Universidad Cat�lica Los �ngeles de Chimbote (Uladech Cat�lica) was established by Law No. 24,163 enacted on 12 June 1985. The university was granted the title of "Catholic" by Decree No. 42, signed on 22 November 2008 by �ngel Francisco Sim�n Piorno, Bishop of Chimbote.
The university is composed of 5 Faculties (Health Sciences; Education and Humanities; Law and Political Sciences; Accounting, Finance and Administration Sciences; Engineering).
