About Dir
Like the other pre-independence states of the North West Frontier Province, Dir saw its independence restricted in 1954 and was abolished in 1972.
Chris Kretowicz, 31 Mar 2001
The Khanate (not Emirate) of Dir, Pakistan, existed to 28 July 1969.

Description of the flag
A triangular green flag with a white border. An eagle (?) at upper hoist, a hand at lower hoist, white crescent and star in the point of the triangle. A lot of Arabic (?) scripts all over the flag.

Here is a simplified image of the flag (there should be also some Arabic script).
