Bolesławiec city flag
Here is the flag of Boleslawiec city (urban commune) in Boleslawiec County, Dolnoslaskie Voivodship.- Old German name: Bunzlau.
The statut of the commune says:
"1. Coat of Arms of the commune is a gate of the fortress over which are three towers capped with roofs. Inside the gate is an eagle with the crescent moon on its breast.
2. Colors of the commune are prescribed by its flag, which is a rectangular piece of cloth in colors of gold, white and red with the city's arms in the middle".
The town of Bolesławiec is on the Bobr river, with c. 50.000 inhabitants. It came to the Bohemian crown in 1392, to Prussia in 1742, and was assigned to Poland by the Potsdam Conference of 1945.
