Piechowice - urban commune, Jelenia Góra County, Dolnoslaskie Voivodship - former German name: Petersdorf.

City Council's resolution # 171/XXXI/2005 dated February 22, 2005 describes the Arms and the flag as follows:
"The Arms of the commune show an image of the milling wheel on the white and blue shield and in the natural color (oak wood)
The wheel has 8 scoops and from the funnel above it, a stream of water (blue) is cascading.
The water is coming from the left side.
Under the wheel there are the waves in the white color and in 3 rows.
First row has 4 waves, second - 5, and the third has one wave.
The colors of the commune are: yellow, white and blue.
The flag of the Piechowice Commune consists of the three horizontal parts in the yellow, white and blue colors.
In the central part of the flag, the Arms are placed."
