Turze Rogi village

Turze Rogi - village, Łuków Commune (rural), Łuków County, Lubelskie Voivodship.
Located in eastern Poland, it has the population of 493 (2006).
The village wisely took advantage of the European Union's dotation, mobilized own wits and muscles, and spruced-up the place making it extremely pleasant.
It's clean, attractive, with the village center boasting a sport field, internet cafe, spacious park with picnic facilities and monument of the Tur (aurochs or urus -
- Bos primigenius). That ancient animal is remembered in the name of the village - "Turze Rogi" which means "Horns of the Aurochs".
The village square displays also, proudly, the flag of the village adopted, together with the Arms, in 2008.
The village has a decent football (soccer) team - LKS "Tur" Turze Rogi, another pride of the community.

Arms: on a green shield a black head of tur (aurochs) with its prominent horns. Top of the shield carries the name of the village - "Turze Rogi" in block capital letters.
Flag is a white rectangle with the Arms placed in its center.
