Chełm county flag

Chełm County (Polish: powiat chełmski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lublin Voivodeship, eastern Poland, on the border with Ukraine. It was created on 1 January 1999 as a result of the Local Government Reorganization Act of 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Chełm, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county).

On 10 July 2008 the new symbols of the Chełm County were presented to the public. The official adoption of a law is the future.

The proposed symbols of Chelm County are official. On 24 April 2009 the County Council adopted the law about County Coat of Arms, flag and seal.
