Czernice Borowe - rural commune, Przasnysz County, Mazowieckie Voivodship - former name: gmina Chojnowo.
Gmina Czernice Borowe is a rural gmina (commune) in Przasnysz County, Masovian Voivodship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Czernice Borowe, which lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) west of Przasnysz and 93 km (58 mi) north of Warsaw.
Area: 120.31 sq.km (46.5 sq.mi); Population: 4,029 (2006).

1863 - battles with Russian Cossacks nearby
1915 - complete destruction of the village
1939-45 - numerous acts of resistance

New Arms and brand new flag were adopted on July 9, 2007 (resolution # 59/VI/07).
"Arms: on a red shield an image of Saint Stanislaus Kostka (Święty Stanisław Kostka 1550-1568), Patron Saint of Poland and Lithuania, beatified in 1605, canonized in 1726.

Flag:rectangular piece of yellow cloth in the ratio of the width to the length as 1:1,8.
Near the hoist, the Arms are placed. The ratio of the Armś height to the width of the flag is 0,5:1."
