This Coat of Arms served the city also during the interwar period.

adopted end of the summer of 2009
This is an update on the new city flag of Chrzanów [Chrzanów commune (Poland)], adopted in 2009. Please, check this website in English:
http://homepage.mac.com/crowns/chrzanovia/wstep/avsymbole.htmland find enclosed a picture I took myself on Nov. 1st, 2009 in Chrzanów: The flag consists of 3 vertical stripes: broad white stripe in the middle and two narrower pale blue stripes bordering it on both sides. The central white stripe is charged with the city arms.

Neither the city's website nor its BIP page does mention the new flag - But there is a picture of it (actually two pictures) at: http://homepage.mac.com/crowns/chrzanovia/wstep/avsymbole.html from which I did report to you the previous flag of the town and commune.
This site also mentions 2009 as the date of adoption of the new flag, without going into any details of it.

You may remove the question marks from Chrzanów city new (?) flag. adopted 2009 (?)
I have, quite unofficially, learnt that the new flag of Chrzanów was introduced at the end of the summer of 2009 by the Mayor of Chrzanów with no written decision, nor any particular law in writing preceding the adoption. The adoption law, however, is to be officially issued by the Mayor's Office in the near future. Quite unusual procedure, but this is what I have - unofficially - heard. In December 2009 I spotted another form of the very same city flag in Chrzanów, flying on the city's Millennium Square alongside the Polish and the EU flags:
Small paper flags were distributed in Chrzanów in the course of last autumn (2009). And the façade of Chrzanów City Hall displays (left to right) flags of Poland, Chrzanów, the EU and again Poland (picture taken in December 2009) leaving no doubt as to the official status of the flag.
So to sum up: this is without any doubt the NEW flag of Chrzanów. Down with question marks then!
