Duszniki commune flag
Duszniki - rural commune, Szamotuły County, Wielkopolskie Voivodship.
Gmina Duszniki is a rural gmina (commune) in Szamotuły County, Greater Poland Voivodship, in west-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Duszniki, which lies approximately 21 kilometres (13 mi) south-west of Szamotuły and 36 km (22 mi) west of the regional capital Poznań.
Area: 156.28 sq.km (60.3 sq.mi); Population: 8,160 (2006).
Sometimes called Duszniki Wielkopolskie to avoid being confused withDuszniki-Zdrój (DS)
First mentioned in 1235. An agricultural commune.
Arms and flag adopted on February 26, 2003 (resolution # V/22/2003).
"Arms: shield divided horizontally into two parts by five black lines. on the upper field, blue and yellow, is a golden wheat stalk.
On the lower, green field there is a small red shield with the Piast (Princely - uncrowned) white eagle facing to (heraldic) right.
Flag: rectangular in dimensions of the height being 2/3 of the length.
Flag has three colors based on those of the Arms.
The color bands are slanted: the large yellow middle band runs down from the upper border. The triangular corner bands are green (lower) and light blue (upper).
The elements of the Arms are placed in the middle of the yellow field of the flag separated by the five black lines on white background. The upper edge of those
lines forms the horizontal middle of the flag."
