Introduction
There is no direct evodence about the flag colours of both former freguesias. But a hand made flag, surely unofficial, can be seen in this photo. The right flag in this photo is divided per bend sinister into yellow and green and is charged with the coats of arms of both communes, Torre on the yellow side and Portela on the green side, the coats of arms are surrounded by a greyish wreath of laurel. It is very likely that green and yellow are the background colours of the former communes.
