It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain green field.

Shield Argent, in base a bouquet tied Gules of wheat ears, cork oak branches and olive branches all Vert the latter fruited Sable, in chief the cross fleury Vert of the Order of Avis flanked by two lambs affronty Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black initials: "ALCÓRREGO - AVIS".

Alcôrrego Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Avis Municipality (q.v.); it had 399 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 57.6 km².
