About the flag
It is a quite typical Portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue background.

The wavy fesses may stand for the Tagus (Tejo) river.

Presentation of Golegã
Golegã municipality had 6030 inhabitants in 1990, and it is divided in three communes, covering 76 km2. It belongs to theSantarém District and to the old province ofRibatejo.
