It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Shield Vert with base wavy having eight peaks issuant Argent ordered in two fesses, a medieval sailing ship Or, in chief at dexter a mason's hammer Argent and at sinister compasses Argent, Mural Crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black initials: "S. BARTOLOMEU DOS GALEGOS".
Meaning:
The ship is evocing a legend of São Bartolomeu dos Galegos, the local patron saint and name giver of the commune since 1910. Hammer and compasses are tools of the many local chisellers. The base is referring to the eight settlements of the communes on the high plateau of Cesareda.

São Bartolomeu dos Galegos Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Lourinhã Municipality (q.v.); it had 1011 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 12.5 km².

Shield Or, in base a mountain issuant Vert, in chief two windmill wheels Sable rigged Azure, in centre two hearts Gules affronty crowned by a coronet Azure. Mural Crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black initials: "MOLEDO - LOURINHÃ".
Meaning:
The wheels are symbolizing the rural character and the touristic interests. The twinned hearts are alluding to D. Pedro and Dna. In�s de Castro, which gave their promises here according to a legend, and they here also had a palace as sanctuary. The mountain is representing the high plateau of Cesareda, on which the commune is located.
