About the Flag
It is a fairly typical Portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of yellow and blue.

On a red field a golden castle standing on a green and black hill charged with an ancient quina and two silver crescents. Four silver towers mural crown, white scroll with the lettering "VILA DE ÓBIDOS".

Presentation of Óbidos
This is a town that belongs to Leiria district and to the old province Estremadura, has a 142 km² area, seven freguesias communes and about 10 000 inhabitants.
