It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of blue and yellow.

Shield Azure, a hexagonal lighthouse tower (Mãe d'Água) Argent flanked in chief by two grapevines Or and in base by two wheat ears Or crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "CARNAXIDE".

Presentation of Carnaxide
Carnaxide Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Oeiras Municipality (q.v.); it had 25 911 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 6.4 km².

Shield Argent two windmill wheels Sable roped Sable and dressed Azure, in chief an open book Argent bound Gules and garnished Or,in base on a mound Sable a heart Gules crowned Gules and nimbed Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "QUEIJAS - OEIRAS".

Queijas Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Oeiras Municipality (q.v.); it had 8771 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 2.3 km².
