Coat of Arms

Shield Vert eight barrulets Argent, over all a bend engrailed Gules charged with three trefoils Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE TREVÕES E ESPINHOSA".
Meaning:
The trefoils represent former Trevões Commune, the bend engrailed (Port.: espinhoso) the former namesake commune.

is one of the communes of Fundão Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 546 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 30,13 km².

Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, a palm frond Argent, surrounded by three trefoils Or ordered 2:1. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, with inscription in black capitals "TREVÕES".
Meaning:
The trefoils (Port.: trefos) are canting elements.

Shield Vert a fess engrailed Or, charged with three grapevines Purpure leafed Vert; on chief a fleur-de-lis Argent; on base two olive branches Or in saltire, fruited Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, with inscription in black capitals "ESPINHOSA".
Meaning:
The engrailed fess is canting, because the name of the commune means "thorny", which is "engrailed" in heraldry. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of Our Lady of Conception, the local patron saint.
