About the Flag
It is a fairly typical Portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field gyronny of white and purple. Within source above a municipal flag of Valença is depicted. The flag is gyronny of purple and white and the mural crown has five visible towers. The inscription of the scroll is "MUNICIPIO DE VALENÇA".. It is however strange that the location doesn't fit the criteria of being a city, because there are clearly less than 8000 inhabitants.
