The arms are Argent between two poplars Vert erradicated Sable each interwined with a vine of the Same and fruiting each a bunch of grapes Purple, in chief a grindwheel Gules and in base a fess wavy Azure. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA VERDE".
Meaning:
"Vila verde" means "green town" and thus the flag (but not the coat of arms) is canting.
