The rayon has 9 Rural Settlements: Amurskoe, Verkh-Uymonskoe, Gorbunovskoe, Karagayskoe, Katandinskoe, Ognevskoe, Taldinskoe, Ust'-Koksinskoe, and Chendekskoe rural settlement. There are no symbols for most of these rural settlements, as far as I know.

On a blue and white background:
1. In the upper part of the circle is the three-headed peak of Belukha, one of the highest mountains in Central Asia, symbolizing the beauty and power of the native land.
2. In the center is a bear - as a symbol of wisdom, strength and invincibility in defending the fatherland.
3. In the lower part of the circle is the symbolic confluence of the two largest rivers of the Ust-Koksinsky district, the Katun and Koksa, with their tributaries.
4. At the confluence of the rivers is an arrowhead as a symbol of determination, courage, fortitude, speed, which has a double meaning, it also carries significance as a national vessel - tazhuur, which is used in religious and ritual actions for offering milk to the spirits of Altai.
5. Also on the arrowhead is depicted a soaring falcon as an ideal combination of such qualities as courage and intelligence with strength and beauty.
The shield is topped with a municipal crown of dignity of the established sample.
