Description of the flag

Flag of Belgorod region is divided by a dark blue cross to four equal parts — white, green, red and black; the coat of arms of Belgorod region is on white part of the flag.
Yury Rocich, 01 and 04 Jun 2000

"Belgorod" means "white city" — one of the many colors present in this flag… It is not what I would call a great design, but it sure alliviates the dim trend of coats of arms on monocolor background that have been plagueing the recent flag adoptions in Russia…
António Martins, 02 Jun 2000 and 25 Jan 2001 and 04 Oct 2002
