About the flag
The flag of Snezhinsk is of red color with the stylized image of a snowflake of white color with five rays (incorrect as snowflakes have always 6 rays), in center of which is placed the image of the symbol of science (nuclear physics) — the image of the orbits of the electrons are in the form of a pentagonal star.
Pascal Gross, 13 Mar 2003
The design, showing a (very!) stylized snowflake, is canting, as "sneg" | "снег" is Russian for "snow". (The closest word in russian is "sneẑniĭ" | "снежний", which means "snowy"; the city derives through the same path, "г" becomes "ж".)
Jorge Candeias, 14 Mar 2003
It bears a more than passing resemblance with the defunctComecon flag…
