Ruzinov is the union of the eastern parts of Bratislava city and Prievoz village. Prievoz was united with Bratislava in 1946. Prievoz (Hungarian: Főrév, German: Oberufer) was a German (77%) - Hungarian (18%) village in Pozsony (Slovakian: Prešporok) district of Pozsony county of Hungary till 1918/1920 (Czechoslovakian occupation). 1920-1939 Czechoslovakian, 1939-1944 Slovakian and 1945-1992 Czechoslovakian. In 1946 the settlement was absorbed by Bratislava.
