Village Mokroluh lies in the valley of the river Topla, on interface mountain Cerchov and Nízke Beskydy. The first written message about village come from year 1277 (Mokurlang). In Middle Ages it was subject first to the estate Smilno-Makovica and later to the town Bardejov. Administrative it belonged till 1918 to Sarisska zupa.In simultaneity lie down in region Bardejov. From district towns is away 5 km west in direction on Starú Lubovnu.

The name of village a few times change. In 1277 that was Mokurlang, in 1320 Saarpotok, in 1773 Mokroluch, in 1920 Mokroluky and in 1927 Mokroluh.
