The municipality of Sincik (19,045 inhabitants in 2012, 4,144 in the town of Sincik; 46,136 ha) is located 80 km north-east of of Adıyaman. Sincik is the youngest district in the province, established in 1991 by separation from Kahta.

The flag of Sincik (photo,photo,photo,photo,photo,photo,photo) is white with the municipality's emblem. "T.C." stands for "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti", "Republic of Turkey"; "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
The emblem features an imperial fritllary (Fritillaria imperialis L.), pollinated by bees that produce the renown Sincik honey, represented in the base of the emblem.
