Presentation of Ağrı Province

Ağrı Province (542,266 inhabitants in 2009; 113,760 ha) is located in eastern Turkey, on the border with Iran.

Flag of Ağrı Province

The are two variants of new flags. One with white center in logo (above), and another with red center in logo.

The flag of Ağrı Province (photo) is white with the provincial emblem. "Valiliği" means "Governorate".
The emblem, as well as the emblems of the town of Ağrı and of several other municipalities, features Mt. Ararat (5,137 m, Turkey's highest point), known in Turkish as Ağrı Dağı.

The flag of the Ağrı Special Provincial Administration (photo) is white with the administration's emblem. "T.C." stands for "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti", "Republic of Turkey"; "İl Özel İdaresi" means "Special Provincial Administration".
