The İstanbul Erkek Liseliler Educational Foundation was founded in Istanbul on 20 December 1982 by benefactors who had been either a student, a teacher or an administrator in İstanbul Male’s High School.
IELEV Private High School (website) is the first and only school in Turkey offering education in both languages with both German and English preparatory classes.

The flag of the IELEV School (photo,photo,photo,photo,photo,photo,photo) is white with the school's emblem. The right part of the "V" letter recalls the German flag. "Okullari" means "School" in Turkish; "Die Schule" means "The School" in German.
