"In the middle of white rectangular panel with a ratio of the sides as 2:3 is black crowned eagle, which holds in left paw behind of itself a long yellow cross that inclined to the top left corner of flag, with yellow claws and red tongue."

Several days ago, M.Revnivtsev report of newly adopted flag city of Chernigov, which look the same as the flag of Mykhilivka.

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"Argent; sable crowned eagle, which holds in left paw behind of itself a long or cross that inclined to the dexter corner of board, with or claws and gules tongue. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or village crown. The author is E.Chernets'kyi.
Horhcakov family used the arm of Chernihiv principality. Proceeding from importance of Horchakov family for village, their arm uses in modern emblem.

The Village

"The data of foundation is 1939-1940, when all surround farms were united one compact territory. The name has taken place by name of Mykhailo Horchakov, who sold this lands to peasants in 1915."
