"It was confirmed by village council at August, 8, 1997. A square panel, from two equal horizontal strips; on the top dark blue background is a white stork with a red beak and legs and black feathers on wings and a tail. On yellow bottom are three rushes with green stalks and black heads. The authors are A.Grechylo, Yu.Terlets'kyi.

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed by village council at August, 8, 1997. The board is crossed; in the top azure field are argent stork with a gules beak and legs and sable feathers on wings and a tail flies. In the bottom or field are three growing rushes with vert stalks and sable heads. The authors are A.Grechylo, Yu.Terlets'kyi.
The symbolics of settlement emphasizes an arrangement of settlement to Polissya, and azure color specifies name Zarichne and Styr river.

The Village

"The first data on a settlement with the name the Pohost concerned to 1480. In XVI century it owned princes Zbaraz'ky. The modern name carries since 1946."
