Description of the flag

An vertical green flag four edifices in the corners - likely the courthouse or meeting house in upper hoist, red schoolhouse in upper fly, a viaduct in lower hoist and church in lower fly. In an arch in the center is the town name in white, and the date 1762. Bernardston is in Franklin County.
