Description of the flag

Seven horizontal stripes of dark blue and white, with a crowned shield at center. Shield is divided with a red demi-lion on yellow in the upper half and six dark blue and white horizontal wavy stripes on the lower half. Above is written in yellow CITY OF ZEELAND, MICHIGAN and below in yellow LUCTOR ET EMERGO.
