Holly Ridge, North Carolina (U.S.) (original) (raw)
The current seal was first introduced in 2023. It depicts a beach scene, featuring a crane, a pine tree, and reeds. At the bottom is a blue shield with Camp Davis written on it, which operated from 1941 until 1946 originally as an anti-aircraft training facility, before being used as an Army Air field. In 1946, the base was closed and transferred to the Navy, where they used it to test early surface-to-air missiles.
