The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice operates all juvenile correctional facilities in the Commonwealth. As of December 2014, there are four juvenile correctional facilities in Virginia.

The flag of the Department of Juvenile Justice has the scales of justice in yellow, outlined in black, centered on a white field. Arched above the scales are the words "COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA" in navy blue capital letters, while the words "DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE JUSTICE" arch below the scales in similar lettering.
