In 1916, the Queen City Yacht Club was established in Seattle, Washington, US. Eventually, it became one of the Grand Fourteen Yacht Clubs of the Puget Sound. The club are over 500 boaters strong, counting sail and power, though slightly less than half of them find a location in their own moorage.
