Description of the flag
The book "Quantuck Rounds The Half Century Mark" tells us that the club was from 1891, and it shows a burgee: Argent a barrulet (or possibly a closet) gules. A specimen was for sale at eBay, and Worthpoint still has the information about it:https://thumbs.worthpoint.com/zoom/.

If you're interested in collections of American burgees, you'll probably have encountered the occasional QYC burgee sooner or later. Sometimes they are identified as belonging to the Quantuck Yacht Club, of Quogue, Long Island, and dated as belonging to the indicated year in the 20th century. Those are not club burgees per se, but rather indicate whether the boat took part in a race. Whether the boat would have to have won the individual race, I am not as yet sure, and it's a bit difficult to check, as it appears the club no longer exists.
