Former FIAV Members (original) (raw)

Notes:

The OGHB was founded during WWII, at an unauspicious moment perhaps, but under the protection of Marie-Jos of Belgium, then Crown Princess of Italy.

Vexillology is among the many disciplines they pursue.

'Le Parchemin' is a bimonthly (click on the various covers to see the contents); 'Le Hraut' is a newsletter appearing every three months; the list of annual 'Recueils' starting 1952 also mentions some precursory tomes published between 1937 and 1943.

The OGHB maintains a library and study centre located in the municipal hall of Woluwe-St-Pierre, Brussels region; aids members in their heraldic and genealogical pursuits; organizes courses and lectures; studies onomastics (family names!), etc.
