Flag of the Vietnam Customs is based on the national flag, and in the upper hoist part of the flag, there is inscription of yellow capitalized letters "BẢO VỆ LỢI ÍCH CHỦ QUYỀN QUỔC GIA" ("Protecting National Sovereignty Interests") (arranged in 2 lines: the upper line is "BẢO VỆ" and the lower line is "LỢI ÍCH CHỦ QUYỀN QUỔC GIA" where the last stroke of the last letter does not exceed the top of the right star ray), and additionally the Customs symbol is placed under the two lines of inscription.

The Customs emblem is a circle with a sea blue background; charged with a red shield; a yellow five-pointed star is placed in the upper part of the shield, a nested key, an anchor, and a yellow swallow are placed in the middle. Above the red shield, there is an inscription of yellow capitalized letters "HẢI QUAN VIỆT NAM"; under the red shield, its English name is written: "VIETNAM CUSTOMS" in yellow capitalized letters. Additionally, yellow laurels are depicted next to the outer circle; and the blue disc has a red border.
