Caelum (abbreviation: Cae), the Sculptor's Chisel, is a very small and obscure southern constellation that lies between Columba and the southern part of Eridanus. Its brightest star is Alpha Cae (visual magnitude 4.44, absolute magnitude 2.92, spectral type F2V, distance 66 light-years); a small telescope reveals Gamma to be a binary, composed of a red giant (magnitude 4.5) and a white giant (magnitude 6.3).
