The base of the combustion chamber of a Simon-Carves boiler had become choked with displaced bricks and ashes. The Surveyor had been measuring the air on the level, and was probably on his way to do so at another place when the accident occurred. Williams died in the pit, but Peel died from shock on the 16th December [More information ...] | | | | Individal page | | | | Rees, Thomas, 05 Jun 1913, aged 18, Rider, After sending two trams, attached to a rope, up a dip, the last one ran back and killed him.
