31 Aug 1934: Staveley Coal and Iron Co., Ltd. — A final dividend of 4 per cent. is declared, making 6½ per cent., free of tax, for the year, against 5 per cent. for the previous 12 months.

21 Sep 1934: Staveley Coal and Iron Co., Ltd. — The report for the year ended June 30 last states the profit for the year, after providing for management expenses and taxation and including dividends from subsidiary and other companies, is £468,973. The directors recommend transfer to general reserve account of £50,000, further depreciation of workmen's houses £10,000, and a final dividend of 4 per cent, actual, free of tax, making 6½ per cent., free of tax, for the year. The carry-forward is £103,281.
