In the case of companies worked upon the cost-book principle the laws of ordinary partnership prevail as regards the liability of shareholders ; it is quite unlimited.

United Mexican Mining Company, Limited. — Directors: C. Morris (Chairman), J. Weston (Deputy-Chairman), J. W. Williamson, G. Harris, W. Adam, and J. D. Fletcher. Secretary: W. M. Browne. Offices: 3, Great Winchester Street Buildings, London, E.C. — The capital is 41,397 shares of £30 each, of which £28 17s. 8¾d. is paid up, and 1,777 shares of the old company, with £28 2s. 8¾d. paid up. The accounts are made up to June 30 and December 31, and submitted in November and May. No dividend has been paid since 1864. The company is quoted in the official list. Transfer form, common ; fee, nil.
