Newspaper Articles Newspaper Articles 1st July 1939, Page: 405, Column: 2 Anthracite Collieries The amended capital reorganisation scheme of Amalgamated Anthracite Collieries, Ltd., which controls about 80 per cent. of the Welsh anthracite coal mining industry, was partly sanctioned by Mr. Justice Crossmanin the Chancery Division on 19th June. It involves a cut in the capital from £9,500,000 to £4,581,660 by writing off £4,918,339 of unrepresented assets. The second reduction was confirmed on 21st June.
