CONPETITIONSEAFC2010 & EAFF WOMEN'S FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2010 | CONPETITIONS (original) (raw)
Minasan Konnichiwa !
First of all, it is great honour and pleasure for me as President of East Asian Football Federation to welcome our good football family of East Asia to my country, Japan, on the occasion of the Final Competition for the East Asian Football Championship 2010 and EAFF Women’s Football Championship 2010 in Japan.
I would like to thank Mr. Motoaki Inukai, President of Japan Football Association, and all members of Japan Football Association and Tokyo Football Association for their tireless efforts and unchanged supports to prepare for the competition.
Since 2003, EAFF had organised the Final Competition of the East Asia Football Championship in Japan, Korea Republic and China PR and it has come round again in Japan.
Last year we had very tough preliminary competitions in Guam in March and in Chinese Taipei in August. All participants did their best as far as they could.
Also, Northern Mariana Islands participated in the official EAFC competition for the first time after becoming a full-fledged member of EAFF. It was valuable experience for them.
I am certain that the officials and players of participating teams, with the pride as Top 4 National Teams in East Asia and with the spirit of Fair Play, will deliver more exciting matches with high-level skills. I believe that doing best of all participants throughout these toughest competitions will make the standard of East Asian football keen-edged.
Let’s witness the opening of a new history of football in East Asia together.
Junji OGURA President East Asian Football Federation
