notes
The England and Spain quarter-final match was the last to be formulated, as both England and Scotland had been drawn against that country. The other quarter-finals were France vs. Yugoslavia, Hungary vs. USSR and Bulgaria vs. Italy. The semi-finals would be thus... Scotland, England or Spain vs. France or Yugoslavia, and Hungary or USSR vs. Bulgaria or Italy.
