�Alita� players have little possibilities to play in next R.Korac cup�s stage. If they want to do so, they have to win having 28 points advantage at home. �Alita� was wining in 4 minute 8:3, but then it lost 10 minutes period even 2:25 (10:28). Israel team had 36 points advantage in the second half. According to �Alita� coach V.Masalskis, all his players played poorly. The coach didn�t have bigger reproaches only for M.Jarusevicius. Long and tiring trip had negative influence for �Alita� playing. Israel team got solid preponderance in the first half. Alytus players made even 20 mistakes: D.Lavrinovicius made 6 mistakes, R.Conley and K.Patiejunas made in 4s mistakes. K.Patiejunas and A.Seferis played especially bad. K.Patiejunas didn�t score during 33 minutes period and A.Seferis hit just 2 throws of 12. �Cellcom Galil� players demonstrated better team game. They made 25 assists, when guests made only 11 assists.

�Siauliai� lost the game against �Telindus�, but saved good possibility to play in new stage. �We missed free throws in decisive moment�, - A.Sireika, the coach of �Siauliai�, indicated the main reason of loss. � But three points is not decisive preponderance�. The coach was content with his players playing, he picked out R.Giedraitis, V.Pauliukenas and A.Danusevicius. �We have much unexhausted reserves�, - A.Sireika spoke about next game. � For example, we could throw in more three pointers�.
Lithuanians won the first half 33:27. The advantage of guests increased till 8 points in the middle of the second half (49:41). �Telindus� got preponderance after 5 minutes � 57:56. Legionary L.Rowe scored even 22 points for masters after brake. When 2 minutes left till the end of the match, the result was equal � 65:65. �Siauliai� threw in only one foul shot from six in left time. Competitioner fell on R.Giedraitis and traumatized him, but referees didn�t discover the foul.

Galatasaray very easily and can celebrate their 1/8 finals appearance. Malaga fans were watching very interesting game. Now they can count on a good performance of their team in 1/8 finals.

Haifa ended its European way this year with a victory. Haifa played vs. a much weaker rival, but Haifa didn't hustle enough, didn't show it REALLY wants to qualify the next stage. Haifa forced the Italians to turnover 21 times, and even led 60-46 ('35), but some 3ptrs by Granger and Righettikilled Haifa's hope. Add to that some bad substitutions by coach Ashkenzai and the fact that Andrew Kennedy played only 16 minutes, and realize why Haifa won't play in Europe anymore this year.(17) Alita (LTU) - Pelephone Galil Elyon (ISR) 81-65(Arditi 18, Kozikaro 16, Johns 11, Saffar 10, Krasic 6, Sasson 4. Galil will face Magic 7M of Sweden in the next round. Galil is the only Israeli team which made it to the next stage in Korac. Although Galil had a good margin from the first game, it was very close to a loss. Galil suffered from Jammie Arnold's absence. The Lithuanians turned out to be a typcial home team and took control right from the start. Alita enojyed a poor performance by Galil's Saffar and Krasic. On the other hand, Galil had young Ido Kozikaro with 16 pts and 11 rebounds (6 o.reb) who kept Galil in the picture. Veteran Lior Arditi showed exactly what he's made of when he narrowed the deficit with two big 3ptrs at the end.
�Alita� was short of this victory to play in new stage, because it lost the first game 61:88. A.Masalskis, the coach of �Alita�, declared his opinion after the match, that he will offer not to participate in Korac cup next season. �It is useful for youths to play in R.Korac cup tournament, but financial losses are big. If the club wants to reach more, it has to be similar to �Lietuvos rytas� team�, - reasoned V.Masalskis.
�Alita� had hopes to equalize total result of two games though team�s coaches could trust just 6 players. E.Kuciauskas and A.Seferis couldn�t play because of injuries. G.Sivickas and D.Sakalauskas couldn�t help because of illness. �Alita� got a big advantage in first half, it was wining 9:3, 27:18 and in 16 minute � 34:20. �Cellcom Galil� approached 46:44 in 26 minute, but Lithuanians didn�t get flustered. They 4 three pointers in turn, �Alita� was wining 60:46 in 10 minute, after three more minutes the score was � 68:48. �Alita� saved 20 points difference till 34 minute (71:51). K.Patiejunas and D.Lavrinovicius couldn�t defend actively, because they had in 4s fouls. �Alita� had some hopes to increase the advantage in the end of the game, but they made annoying mistakes.
�We wanted to revenge for the loss in firs game, because competitioners thought, that we are the team of second league, - V.Masalskis affirmed. � We played badly in the first game because of 2 reasons. We went to the match after the trip, which was 21 hours long and we didn�t play slowly basketball and we were punished�.

Marrousi did not allow host team to catch up with their 15-points advantage from the game in Greece. So Greek team is already in top 16 of the Korac Cup. Ramat Gan almost did the impossible and won by over 32 points. They came close when the led +26 (87-61) 4 minuets to the end, but 6-0 run by the Polish team ended Ramat Gan's fantasy. What a pitty that because of one misrable game Ramat Gan finished its way in Europe way-way to early. There's something going on with Lior Lubin. Since the good games he had in the NT, he seems very not concentrated and gives some poor performances, including this game Siauliai(LTU) - Telindus Antwerpen (BEL) 69-71 (G.Peciulionis (5/12 three pointers) 17, R.Stankevicius 13, Z.Valuckis, Z.Urbonas and V.Pauliukenas in 8s, A.Danusevicius (10 rebounds) 5, R.Vaiciunas and S.Birutis in 4s, R.Giedraitis 2; **"Telindus":**R.Hugins (11 rebounds) 17, Y.Dupont (7/13 field goals) 16, M.Huger 13, H.Gudfinnsson (5 steals) 9, L.Rowe and H.Baert in 8s. �Siauliai� lost the first game 66:69 and had some hopes to liquidate deficit of three points, but it lost at home 69:71. Siauliai players were pursuing competitioners all the game and, when 8 seconds were left to play, they equalized the score 69:69.
�Siauliai� had 6:0 run after nervous beginning of the game and were in front 9:6 in 6 minute. But �Telindus� thanks to legionaries increased advantage till 8 points � 19:11. The coaches of �Siauliai� wanted to get over adhesive defense of �Telindus� and let R.Giedraitis to play though he didn�t recover from injury. But he also didn�t help to avoid elementary mistakes. Masters made even 10 mistakes.
Guests got 11 points advantage in 26 minute � 46:35. In the middle of second half competitioners roughly knocked down R.Giedraitis and the injury renewed. The captain of �Siauliai� didn�t play in this game anymore. When 5 minutes were left to play, masters reduced the difference till 54:59, but Z.Urbonas got the 5th foul. Masters tried to save themselves making fouls deliberately in the last minute and �Telindus� hit just 3 free throws from 8.
E.Casteels said, that his team has one chance from 100 to overcome �Siauliai� before the game. After the game he said, that his team was able to neutralize the most dangerous player of �Siauliai� G.Peciulionis in decisive moment, though he scored 17 points.
�It is annoying, but it is not shame, - said A.Sireika, the coach of �Siauliai�. � We lost against stronger competitioner, which we can overcome playing without mistakes with such composition�. According to A.Sireika, his players wanted to revenge very much and this wish disturbed them.

Probably the easiest game of 1/16 finals, when Uniks could not challenge top French team. Wloclawek (POL) - Lugano (SUI) 72-67 (Sneps 19, Griszczuk 12 � Polite 21+10reb, Dacevic 13). Attn: 1,100
Wloclawek was such sure of their victory after 11 points advantage from the first game, that .almost lost it at home. But they are already in 1/8 finals.

Nancy did not allow Ukrainian team to get the victory in France.

The Greek derby also this time was won by Peristeri.
Karsiyaka (TUR) - PTT Ankara(TUR) 66-65 (Onar 17+14reb, Stefanov 17+5ast, Peker 13 � Evliyaoglou 17+5reb, Jurkovic 13+6reb+4ast, Kraljevic 13+5reb). Attn: 3,000
This is not Turkish league, so PTT Ankara won double game against Karsiyaka and advanced to the /18 finals. Estudiantes (ESP) - Apollon Limassol (CYP) 114-79 (F.reyes 21+15reb, Robles 19, Arranz 15, Thompson 13+6reb+6ast � Mc Ghee 25+8reb, Jones 24+4reb). Attn: 2,000
Very relaxing game for Estudiantes. Spanish team could test all of bench players and the result was never in a danger.
