On 7th July 2023 Norwich City announced that goalkeeper Ellis Craven had joined their academy from Rochdale where he had spent the previous three years. He had also spent time with Blackburn.

In early December 2023, Craven joined Northern Premier League side Marske United on loan until the end of December. However their next two fixtures were postponed on 10 December whilst enquiries were undertaken into the club's new ownership. He then returned to Marske and made his debut playing against Ilkeston Town in the Northern Premier League on 16th December 2023.

In August 2024 he was loaned to National League side Boston for a month.
