Radioulnar

Pronation

Internal rotation of the forearm resulting in the palm moving posteriorly, or down.


Supination

External rotation of the forearm resulting in the palm moving anteriorly, or up.


Notes

The Pronator quadratus is the primary pronator of the forearm, but it is assisted by the pronator teres during fast or resisted movements. The supinator is the primary supinator of the forearm, but it is aided by the biceps during fast or resisted movements. Also see .
