1975 World Series (original) (raw)
In some eyes, the 1975 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds was the greatest World Series ever played. Cincinnati won the series 4-3.
The series included many moments remembered fondly today: Bernie Carbo's pinch-hit home run, Carlton Fisk's 'Englished' home run to left to win Game 6, and Luis Tiant's extended mediations while communing with someone in center field during his windups while pitching, and many others.
